Etched Autumn – Autumn Wishes

Design Time: For the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#529) Sketch.  Today’s sketch is the first one of many from the new Fall Mini Catalog.  Have fun with it!

Two other Facebook challenges that influenced my design choices were: Stampin’ Through The Catalog stamp set for today – Etched Amber, an On-Line Exclusive product that coordinates with the Amber Autumn products in the new catalog and this week’s Global Design Project (#513) Color palette.

Here is the result:

ETCHED AUTUMN – AMBER AUTUMN – CT529 – STTC – GDP513

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4⅝” x 3¼”) Dark Wood patterned piece of paper from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Rectangle Panels: (5½” x 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • The Etched Amber Background stamp was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and the cardstock was carefully placed on top and then pressed with the Stampin’ Brayer.
    • The Leaves were then colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Light Cajun Craze; Light Pecan Pie; Light Crumb Cake; and the retired Daffodil Delight Medium Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker as the color is very similar to Crushed Curry.
    • The Panel was then trimmed to (4” x 3½”) and further cut into (1”) Strips.
  • Oval Accent Mat: (2¾” x 2”) Early Espresso cardstock scrap die-cut with the (2½” x 1¾”) Oval die from the Framed Scenes Dies set, still available but on the Last Chance List.
  • Sentiment Label: (2½” x 2”) Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
    • The greeting, Autumn Wishes, from the Amber Autumn stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink and then die-cut with the coordinating (2¼” x 1½”) Oval die from the same Die set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and a few now retired Adhesive Backed Textured Dots were added for a bit of bling.

Lots of possibilities with the Etched Autumn stamp.  The Leaves are easy to fussy-cut and color for lots of different looks.

I am looking forward to seeing what you will create with the Case-ing Tuesday sketch this week
