Inspiring Imperfections – Hello

Wow!  It’s already September…welcome back.

Today I am playing with CAS on Friday (#316) to use Vellum and the CAS Colours & Sketches (#567) Palette influenced by the Paper Players (#753) Tic Tac Toe Board to include Flowers and Word Dies choosing both clean and simple and vellum as my FREE option(s).

Here is the result:

INSPIRING IMPERFECTIONS – COS316 – CC&S567 – PP753

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Pool Party cardstock.
  • Frame: (2¾” x 4½”) Basic White cardstock and Vellum.
    • Using the (2½” x 3⅞”) Frame die from the Sentimental Framing Dies set, the two pieces were die-cut.
    • The Vellum Frame was adhered to the Basic White Frame.
  • Focal Image – Flower
    • On the (1¼” x 2¾”) Vellum Inset piece created via the Frame die-cut, the Flower image from the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Pewter Embossing Powder (still in my stash).
    • The back side of the vellum stamped image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Bloom – Dark Flirty Flamingo, Leaves – Dark Lost Lagoon; and Background – Light Pool Party.
    • The Vellum Image was adhered to the Basic White Inset piece.
  • Sentiment: (3” x 1½”) Lost lagoon cardstock.
    • Using the word Hello die from the Circle of Seasons Dies set, a Paper Pumpkin Add-On product, the greeting was die-cut.

All elements were adhered to the card base with the Floral inset popped up with Dimensionals.

A pretty floral greeting card that is clean and simple, my favorite style to make, for you today.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!

  2. Love the detail of the layering on your card Jolanda – a great way to frame the single flower stem. Thanks for playing along with my TicTacToe Challenge over at The Paper Players this week -and great take on the CC&S colours too!
