Welcome back! Friday already…hope you have something wonderful lined up for the weekend.
Today’s challenge combination: Time Out (#296) Friendship; Double D (#082025) Butterflies; Creative Colours (#208); brought together with the Freshly Made (#701) Sketch.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Darling Duckling cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Secret Sea Dotted patterned piece of paper from the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
- Vertical Strip Mats: (4⅛” x 1⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
- Vertical Strips: (4” x 1”) Floral and Leaf patterned pieces of paper from the Irresistible Designs Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
- The patterns were brought to life by adding Strawberry Slush and Darling Duckling inks with Blending Brushes and polishing with a bit of paper towel.
- The sentiment, Friends are flowers in the garden of life, from the You Are Remarkable stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder onto the Darling Duckling strip.
- Decoration – Butterflies: Secret Sea Dotted patterned piece of paper scraps, from the same paper pack die-cut with the Small Butterfly and Body dies from the Beautiful Butterflies Dies set, another On-Line Exclusive product.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Butterflies were popped up with Dimensionals and Boho Blue retired 2023/2025 In-Color Dots were added for a little butterfly sparkle.
A pretty little friendship card.
