Welcome back! A day full of chores and just now having time to be a little creative…
Several related and/or similar challenge options today: Paper Players (#749) Stef’s By The Water theme; Addicted to CAS (#288) Sunshine theme; Inkspirational (#347) for a warm palette of Colors in their Mood Board; and bringing it all together, the suggested sketch over at AAA Cards (#296).

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
- Card Front: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic White cardstock.
- A Mask was created by cutting a piece of Copy Paper with Paper Snips in a “swoop” and securing to the Card Front.
- A small circle was punched out with the retired (¾”) Circle Punch and secured in place with temporary low-tack adhesive.
- Using Blending Brushes, Timid Tiger ink was added to the center area followed by Strawberry Slush ink top and bottom. The small Circle Mask was removed and Crushed Curry ink was added.
- Once the Masks were removed, the Sailboat and Seagull images from the retired Sailing Home stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Using the Journaling Pen (0.4), the Sailboat and Sails were blacked out for a true silhouette.
- The sentiment, You deserve the best, from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was bent (photopolymer) to match the curve of the “swoop” and also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
All layers were adhered to the card base for a clean and simple encouragement / congratulations card.

Jolanda, you’ve made such a gorgeous card! Love those sunset colors and your brilliant design with the “swoop” masking. Your card may be CAS but the vibrant colors and beautiful silhouette stamps definitely make an impact. It’s great that the sentiment curved perfectly to follow the line. Thank you so much for joining in this week with the Paper Players!
