Summer Sunflowers – Gather Together

Welcome back!  Friday and the end of the week…

Today’s inspiration: Farm Quest (#73) Around the Farm – how about a summer porch picnic as suggested by Colorful Options (July).

Picking up the Wood Element for Shopping Our Stash (#552) and sharing with Ellibelle’s Garden Party (#5).

Bringing my ideas together, I selected the Sunday Stamps (#365) Sketch.

Here is the result:

PAINTED HARVEST – PAINTED STRIPES – FQCB73 – COC July 2025 – SOS552 – EGP005 – SSC365

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • Using the Stampin’ Brayer, the bottom side of the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder was inked with Pecan Pie ink and then dry-embossed.
  • Accent Panel: (3¼” x 4½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Painted Stripes Background stamp, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped twice in two directions with Poppy Parade ink to create the Gingham Tablecloth.
  • Corner Accents: (3” x 3”) Dark Wood patterned piece of paper from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper pack cut on the diagonal and then cut in half.
    • On the bottom piece, the sentiment, Gather Together & Give Thanks, from the retired Painted Harvest stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • Decoration – Sunflowers: Basic White cardstock scraps.
    • The Two-Step Sunflowers images, from the same stamp set, were stamped with Daffodil Delight ink and Timid Tiger ink was added to one and Peach Pie ink to the other.  The Floral Center image was stamped with Pecan Pie ink.  The Two-Step Leaf images were stamped with Soft Sea Foam ink and Lemon Lime Twist ink.
    • Both the Flowers and the Leaves were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the top Sunflower popped up with Dimensionals.

What fun to gather and share a fresh summer picnic with family and friends.
