A Little Something – Festive & Fun

Welcome back!  Already Thursday…where does the time go?

How about a bit of Christmas Cheer?  Playing with Caffeinated Christmas (#43), Jingle Belles (#2512) Tic Tac Toe Board and Just Add Ink (#761) Theme

Adding some Wet Embossing for Make My Mondy (#256) and sharing with Ellibelle’s Crafty Wednesday (July) for an Anything Goes theme.

Bringing it all together with the current Global Design Project (#506) Sketch.

Here is the result:

FESTIVE &FUN – CCCC43 – JB2512 – JAI761 – MMM256 – ECWC July 2025 – GDP506

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Plaid patterned piece of paper from the retired Take A Bow Series Paper pack.  Note: The New Holiday Catalog comes out in September and there is no Holiday patterned paper currently available.
  • Accent Strips: (4” x ½”) Real Red Dotted patterned paper from the same paper pack.
  • Focal Image: (4” x 3”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Rhino and Gift Sled image from the retired Festive & Fun stamp set was inked with Memento Tuxedo Black ink omitting the hand-held Holiday Wreath and then stamped.
    • A small Coffee Cup was hand-drawn with my Fine-Tipped Black Liquid Gel Pen in lieu of the Wreath.
    • The scene was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Rhino – Light and Dark Smoky Slate; Scarf – Light Granny Apple Green and Light Real Red; Birds – Light and Dark Balmy Blue; Hats, Scarf & Ear Muffs – Dark Granny Apple Green, Light Granny Apple Green and Light Real Red; Gift Boxes & Bows – Light Parakeet Party (retired) and Light Real Red; Coffee Cup – Light and Dark Crumb Cake with Light Real Red Sleeve; Sled – Dark Crumb Cake and Light Smoky Slate.
    • Using a Blending Brush, Balmy Blue ink was added to the Ground and Sky.
  • Sentiment Shape – Circle: Garden Green cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, A little something for you with lots of love from me, from the same stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (1⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set. This shape better suited the sentiment, and its placement on the card better suited the stamped scene.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals
