Welcome back! I have a new gig…I am now on the Design Team for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge. You will know that I have played along with them for some time now and I am delighted to be able to continue to inspire you.

This week’s sketch is (#639) and my choices were influenced by As You See It (#352) for a favorite shape – Hexagons; Cupcake Inspirations (#622) for the subject images – Birds; and Color Throwdown (#837) for the softer palette of Yellow, Pink and Grey.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Bubble Bath cardstock dry-embossed with retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.
- Cross Strip: (4⅛” x 1¾”) Smoky Slate Splatter patterned piece of paper from the 2025/2026 Neutrals Collection Designer Series Paper pack dry-embossed with the retired Hexagon Dynamic Texture Embossing Folder.
- Shapes – Hexagons: Basic White cardstock and Daffodil Delight Bokeh Dotted patterned piece of paper from the Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper pack.
- The Sentiment Block and Background Blocks were die-cut using the Hexagon Dies (1⅝” x 1⅞”); (1⅞” x 2⅛”) and (2¼” x 2½”) from the retired Beautiful Shapes Dies set.
- The sentiment, I love that we are friends, from the retired Country Bouquet stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Focal Images – Birds: Basic White cardstock scraps.
- The two Birds and Eye Glass images from the retired Bird’s Eye View stamp set were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Light Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and Smoky Slate.
- The Birds were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Birds were popped up with Dimensionals and three White Neutral Matte Dots, an On-Line Exclusive product, were added to the Cross Strip.
A sweet friendship card.
Looking forward to seeing how you use this week’s sketch.
