Design Team Time: This round at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#468), we have a nice Mood Board with lots of options. I selected the Summer Cocktails image.
Influences for my choices: AAA Cards (#295) for a clean and simple Style; AAA Birthday (#75) for Sentiment; and Color Dare (#600) for the Palette.
Sharing with: Four Seasons (July) and Paper Craft Crew (#630) for their summer theme challenges.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Strawberry Slush cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (3” x 4”) Timid Tiger cardstock hand torn.
- Background Panel: (2¾” x 3¾”) Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper hand torn.
- The sentiment, Celebrate, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Decoration – Cocktail Glasses: Using Paper Snips, the two Cocktails and the little Flowers were fussy-cut from one of the patterned pieces of paper from the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
All the elements were adhered and arranged to resemble the sketch. Two Blooms were popped up with Mini Dimensionals.
A pretty and refreshing summer birthday card.
