Hello Cupcake – A Fabulous Birthday

Hi again! Catching up from being on holidays and those deadlines that I still have a chance to meet.

Birthday time: Seize The Birthday (#309); Inkspirational (#346); and Ellibelle’s I Spy (#28).

Choosing the Inspire Create (#197) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Secret Sea cardstock.
• Card Front Base: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock.
• Card Front Split Panel: (1” x 4”); (½” x 4”); and (3⅝” x 4”) Daffodil Delight Dotted patterned piece of paper from the Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The Happy Birthday Banner image from the retired Patterned Party stamp set was stamped with Secret Sea ink and the missing bits were filled in with the Secret Sea Stampin’ Write Marker.
• Shape – Cupcake: (2” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • The Cupcake Elements from the retired Hello Cupcake stamp set were stamped with Secret Sea ink (Wrapper), Darling Duckling ink (Cake), and Strawberry Slush ink (Frosting) and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment Banner: (3” x 1”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
  • Using a Blending Brush, Strawberry Slush ink was added to the strip.
  • The sentiment, So what if you’re a year older.  You’re Fabulous!, from the retired Approaching Perfection stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (2¼” x ½”) Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Both the Cupcake and Sentiment Banner were popped up with Dimensionals.

A happy bright card perfect for a summer birthday!
