Christmas Greetings – Bells & Boughs

Welcome back! Happy Monday…a clean and simple holiday card for you today.

Christmas in July and lots of CAS (clean and simple) challenges about with this theme: CAS on Friday (#313); Addicted to CAS (#287); and Addicted to Stamps & More (#497).

Just Add Ink (#760) is sporting colors that definitely felt Christmasy and the current sketch over at CAS Colours & Sketches (#564) was ideal for bringing my ideas together.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Card Front: (5¼” x 4”) Linen patterned piece of paper from the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product, for a lovely rustic feel.
  • The Poinsettia Garland image from the retired Bells & Boughs stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen:  Poinsettia – Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler; Floral Centers – Light Wild Wheat (retired); Poinsettia Leaves – Dark Old Olive; Pine Garland – Light Old Olive; and Shadows – Light Crumb Cake.
  • The sentiment, Merry Christmas, from the retired Christmas Greetings stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.

Add the card front to the card base and we are done!

A lovely clean and simple holiday card using just stamps, ink and paper from my stash of favorite products.
