Fine Feathers – Good Vibes

Design Time: Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#520) Sketch. Today’s card can be found on page 124 of the May 2025 – Apr 2026 Annual Catalog. 

CASE: (Copy and Steal Everything) Making it exactly the same; (Copy and Slightly Edit) Almost the same with a little variation; (Copy and Selectively Edit) Changing things.  You are welcome to choose how you create.  I kept the card in the same tones and added silver embossing powder instead of the Metallic Textures Rub-Ons, which I don’t have yet.

Design influences: Alphabet Letter (F) for feathers and Inspire Create (#196) for the yellow/orange colors.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Timid Tiger cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Pumpkin Pie Splatter patterned piece of paper from the 2025/2026 Brights Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Blocks: Peach Pie and Timid Tiger cardstock along with Daffodil Delight Splatter patterned paper from the same paper pack.
  • Block Sizes: Peach Pie (1” x 2¼”), (2” x 1¾”) and (1” x 2¼”); Timid Tiger (2½” x 1⅜”); Daffodil Delight (2” x 2⅞”).
  • Various Feather images from the retired Fine Feathers stamp set were stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Silver Embossing Powder.
• Sentiment Block: (2⅛” x ½”) Lemon Lolly cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Sending Good Vibes, from The Right Words stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Black Embossing Powder.

All the Blocks were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals and a few retired Pretty in Pink Foiled Gems were added for a bit of bling.

I really liked the original card, yet I tweaked it to my it mine.
