Botanical Study – Thank You

Welcome back!  Woo Hoo, its Monday – a brand-new week of opportunities…

Several clean and simple challenges about and you know that is my favorite style of card to create.

The Challenges: CAS Colours & Sketches (#563) for the Colors; CAS on Friday (#312) for the Image Theme; and Addicted to CAS (#286) for the Sentiment Theme. Creating my card with Stef’s Circle Theme over at Paper Players (#745).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Card Front: (3½” x 5”) Fluid 100 Watercolor paper.
  • I sketched out three circle shapes (approximately 2”) in a diagonal pattern lightly with a pencil.
  • I added water with a Wide-Tipped Craft Paint Brush to the center circle and then added Bubble Bath ink picked up from a Clear Block and allowed the color to move, letting it dry.
  • I did the same with Highland Heather ink and Azure Afternoon ink.
  • Once dry, I erased the pencil lines and stamped the Botanical images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.  The Peony image from the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set; The Leaf image from the Mixed Florals stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product; and the Queen Anne’s Lace image from the Gallery Blooms stamp set.
  • The sentiment, Thank you for everything, is from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set.

Adhere the card front to the card base, and we are all done!
