Just My Type – Birthday Card

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday.  Here’s to hoping you have some time to be creative today…

My challenge mash-up: Just Add Ink (#758) for the sketch with the Stampin’ Up! Only (#379) new In-Colors.

Choosing the Birthday themes for Retro Rubber (#258) and Krafty Chicks (#775).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, I hope your day is filled with sunshine and rainbows, from the retired Just My Type stamp set (circa 2023) was stamped on the card front with Secret Sea ink.
  • The word, sunshine, was highlighted with the Light Darling Duckling Stampin’ Blends Marker.
• Cross Strip: (4” x 1”) Basic White cardstock scrap covered with slim strips of Secret Sea, Cloud Cover, Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger and Strawberry Slush cardstock scraps.  
• Shape – Circle: (3½” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Typewriter image, the Curled Paper image and the Rainbow image, from the same stamp set, were stamped with Secret Sea ink.
  • The image was colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Typewriter Keys, Return and Shadows – Light Cloud Cover; Rainbow – Light Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger and Strawberry Slush.
  • The image was die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Focal image was popped up with Dimensionals for a clean and simple style.

A fun and colorful birthday card!
