Summer Garden Wedding – Gallery Blooms & More

Welcome back!  Happy 4^th.  It’s been a busy day, and I am just now getting around to telling you about the card I created this morning.

Every month, Stampin’ Up! has a Creative Challenge and this month it is a Product Mash-Up.  So, I combined Gallery Blooms, Beautiful Motifs, Scenic Frames and Mixed Media Florals for my Garden Wedding card.

Which incorporates Heart’s Quest Celebration of Love (#7) Wedding theme and the Global Design Project (#503) Floral theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Petal Pink cardstock.
• Corner Under Square: (2½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, Wishing you Love & Happiness that lasts a lifetime, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
• Background Panel Fold Over: (4” x 5¼”) Poppy Parade Floral patterned paper from the Mixed Media Florals Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.  The Corner was folded over at (2¼”).
• Oval Frame: Basic Black cardstock scrap die-cut with both the (1¾” x 2½”) and (1½” x 2¼”) Oval dies from the Scenic Frames Dies set, also an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Frame Inset: Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with the same (1½” x 2¼”) Oval die.
• Decoration – Floral Spray: (3” x 2¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Floral image from the Gallery Blooms stamp set was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Floral Centers – Dark Poppy Parade; Flower Petals – Light Poppy Parade; and Leaves – Light and Dark Shy Shamrock.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  The Flowers were popped up with Dimensionals.

A fun design that showcases both sides of pretty patterned papers and allows for a peek-a-boo moment with the sentiment.
