Vintage Wedding – Charming Day

Welcome back!  Sunday has rolled around, and I have spent some time in the Studio.  Will you get a chance to be creative today?

Several similar challenges and I combined them with the Sketch Saturday (#779) layout.

So, Love Those Pretty Papers (#12) has a Wedding twist; Ellibelle’s I Spy With My Little Eye (#27) is looking for Vintage Vibes; and Shopping Our Stash (#550) has A Stitch In Time for their theme.

I chose the Facebook’s Colour INKspiration (#190) palette as the combination has a distinct vintage feel.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (5¼” x 4”) Cajun Craze cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Basic Beige cardstock.
• Vellum Overlay: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Petal Pink Lace patterned piece of Vellum from the retired Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
• Vertical Banner: (5”) Crumb Cake (⅝”) Pearlized Ribbon from the retired Come To Gather Ribbon Combo pack.
• Horizonal Strip: (8”) Very Vanilla (⅜”) retired Diamond Weave Ribbon threaded with (10”) Gold/White side of the (⅛”) Gold Ribbon from the Gold & Silver Trim Combo pack, an On-Line Exclusive product.
• Shape – Circle: (4” x 4”) Basic Beige cardstock and (4” x 4”) Petal Pink Lace Vellum adhered together and die-cut with the (3¼”) Dotted Circle die from the retired Everyday Details Dies set.
  • Using a Sewing Needle and the Cajun Craze Linen Thread also from the Come To Gather Ribbon Combo pack, the stitching was added to the Circle.
• Focal Image Mat: (3½” x 3”) Crumb Cake cardstock die-cut with the Floral die from the Charming Day Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product available in July.
• Focal Image – Floral Spray: (3½” x 3”) Basic Beige cardstock.
  • The Floral image from the Charming Day stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink and colored with Watercolor Pencils (Cajun Craze and Early Espresso) and (Deep Almond) from the Crayola World Of Color Pencil Crayon Set.
  • The Floral image was die-cut with the same coordinating die and closely trimmed with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment Banner: Basic Beige cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Congratulations, from the Perfectly Pears stamp set, another new On-Line Exclusive product available in July, was stamped with Cajun Craze ink and die-cut with the (2¼” x ⅞”) Stitched Rectangle die, also from the Everyday Details Dies set.

All elements were added to the card base to resemble the mirror image of the sketch.  Three layers were popped up with Dimensionals.

This Congrats card will go well with the couple throwing the dinner party in the inspiration photo.
