Love More – Labeler Alphabet

Hello! I have the pleasure of being a Guest Designer for Heart’s Quest (#75) this time around and we are challenged to add red and/or blue hearts to our project.  I added both.

My design choices were influenced by: AAA Cards (#293) to create a clean and simple card with a “sentiment” focused twist; Paper Craft Crew (#627) looking for “letters”; and selecting the Facebook’s Global Design Project (#502) sketch as it was ideally suited to my idea.

Here is the result:

LABELER ALPHABET – HQCB75 – AAACC293 – PCC627 – GDP502

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Poppy Parade cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4⅛” x 5⅜”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (3” x 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
    • Quote: From Henry David Thoreau – There is no remedy for love but to love more.
      • Basic White cardstock scraps.
      • The quote was spelled out using the Alphabet Letter stamps from the retired Labeler Alphabet stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink with the word “LOVE” stamped with Poppy Parade and Misty Moonlight inks substituting the letter “O” with a solid Heart.
      • The sentence pieces were trimmed and adhered.

Clean and simple and lovely!

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
