Welcome back! A little afternoon Studio time…for another clean and simple card.
The challenges: Just Us Girls (#780) with a Mood Board featuring pretty Beach Poppies and sharing with Creative Colour (#199) as this week’s palette is reflected in the Inspiration Photo.

I selected the current sketch over at As You See It (#350) to bring my idea(s) together.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Balmy Blue cardstock.
- Card Front: (4″ x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Sentiment Banner: Basic White cardstock scrap die-cut with the (2¾” x ⅝”) Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set used as a Mask.
- With the Mask in place, the Poppy Type Flower image from the retired Nature’s Prints stamp set was stamped three times with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Petals – Light and Dark Poppy Parade and Floral Centers and Bud Pods – Light and Dark Lemon Lime Twist.
- Again, with the Mask in place, using a Blending Brush, Balmy Blue ink was added around the Flowers and the Sentiment Banner.
- The Mask was removed, and Doodle Lines were added around the Banner with my Fine-Tipped Black Liquid Gel Pen. The Flower Stems were also extended.
- The Banner was also outlined with the Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker.
- The sentiment, Thinking of You, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was bent a little (a nice feature of photopolymer stamps) and stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- Balmy Blue Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Three Color Pack (still available but on the Last Chance List) was tied into a small bow and added to the card.
How is that for a clean and simple three-peat? I adore Poppies and it was fun to pull out this small floral from the stamp set.
Thanks for spending some more of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!

I think the trio of poppies is a perfect way to use the sketch. The softly sponged background is just right and ties in nicely with the card base. Thanks for sharing with us at As You See It.
