Fun on Wheels – Summer Cycling

Welcome back!  Happy Thursday…

Today I am creating a card for Double Trouble (#193) and their 3-2-1 Recipe with a Masculine Twist and partnering with Try a Sketch on Tuesday (#672) by delving into my stash of retired goodies.  Sometimes, favorites just  have to come out and play!

Here is the result:

FUN ON WHEELS – DT193 – TSOT672

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Crumb Cake Scripted patterned piece of paper from the retired World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Cross Strip: (3¾” x 2”) Cajun Craze cardstock.
  • Center Panel Accent Mat: (3⅛” x 3⅛”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • Center Panel: (3” x 3”) Gold Embossed Map of France patterned piece of paper, also from the World of Good Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Front Panel Accent Mat: (2⅜” x 4⅝”) Early Espresso cardstock.
  • Front Panel: (2¼” x 4½”) Cajun Craze Distressed patterned piece of paper from the retired Delicate Desert Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The Bicycle image from the retired Fun on Wheels stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso ink.
  • Sentiment Banner: Cajun Craze cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, It’s a Good Day to have a Good Day, also from the Fun on Wheels stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (2¾” x ⅝”) Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

I think a cycling tour of Europe would be an activity that would be a lot of fun…and so would he!

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
