Welcome back! Friday already…where did the week go?
A one off this morning for Color Hues (#111). Two striking colors when combined.

I selected the sketch presented by CAS Colours & Sketches (#562) but did not create a clean and simple card for them. I just liked the layout.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Mossy Meadow cardstock.
- Accent Mat: (5¼” x 4”) Basic White cardstock
- Background Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Calypso Coral cardstock.
- Nine Square: (5½” x 1½”) Basic White cardstock strips.
- The Pine Tree image from the Wooded Acres stamp set, still available but on the Last Chance List, was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink.
- Color was added to each Strip with Sponge Daubers. Colors chosen: Ground – Old Olive and Sky – Calypso Coral.
- The Strips were trimmed to (4” x 1⅛”) and cut into three pieces.
- The Tiles were adhered in place onto the Calypso Coral Background and Basic White Baker’s Twine was added, secured with Scotch Tape.
- Sentiment Label: Basic White cardstock scrap colored with Old Olive ink.
- The sentiment, Embrace the journey, from the Everyday Arches stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink and trimmed to (2⅜” x ⅞”).
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.
A rather nice masculine retirement card or graduation card.
Thanks for spending some of your time with me today. Cheers, Jolanda!

Still need to figure out how I will use the sketch for CC&S as it requires a lot more white space but I liked the layout.
Thanks, Karen!
