Charming Days – Thanks

Well now…Facebook’s Global Design Project is celebrating challenge #500 with a special CASE a Design Team Member.

I chose to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) a project created by Janneke De Jong.

Additional influences: Simply Clean and Simple (#24) to add Pink and Stampin’ Up! Only (#378) for the lovely Flowers in the inspiration photo.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
• Vertical Cross Strip: (2¾” x 5½”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
• Crumpled Banner: (4¼” x 1¾”) Mint Macaron cardstock retired but found in my scrap bin notched with the retired Banner Punch.
• Shape – Floral Spray: (4” x 2½”) Watercolor Paper die-cut with the Floral Spray die from the new Charming Days Dies set (available in July) as an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Using Sponge Daubers, Bubble Bath and Soft Sea Foam inks were added to the Blooms and Leaves, respectively.
• Sentiment Tag Mat: Bubble Bath cardstock scrap punched out with the retired (1⅜”) Scallop Circle Punch.
• Sentiment Tag: Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Thanks for being you, from the Charming Day stamp set, was stamped with retired Mint Macaron ink and punched out with the retired (1¼”) Circle Punch.
• The Tag and Mat were adhered together and a small hole was punched with a (⅛”) Hand-held Punch.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the gift package created by Janneke.  The Tag was tied to the Cross Strip with fine Gold Thread (retired) and secured with a Dimensional.  The Floral Spray was also popped up with Dimensionals and two Pink-Toned retired Tinsel Gems were added for bling.
