See The Good – The Right Words

Hi again!  A few deadlines to meet…

The challenges: Cupcake Inspirations (#619) Colors and Shopping Our Stash (#540) Theme.

Bringing my ideas together, the Atlantic Hearts (#633) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Peach Pie cardstock.
• Background Panel: (5” x 3½”) Watercolor Paper.
  • Using a Blending Brush, one of the retired Foursquare Decorative Masks and retired Peekaboo Peach ink, the pattern was created.
  • The Panel was then die-cut with the (4¼” x 3”) Rectangle die from the retired Deckled Rectangles Dies set.
• Shapes – Pears: (3” x 2½”) Watercolor Paper.
  • The Pear image from the retired See The Good stamp set was stamped into Peach Pie ink and stamped off once.
  • Using Sponge Daubers, Poppy Parade and Old Olive inks were added directly to the image (kissing technique) and the Stem was colored with the Pecan Pie Stampin’ Write Marker before stamping onto the paper to create the multi-colored image.
  • The Pears were then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
• Sentiment Accent Banner: Poppy Parade cardstock scrap die-cut with the (2⅛” x ⅞”) Stitched Banner die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Sentiment Banner: Watercolor Paper scrap.
  • The sentiment, Thanks so much for thinking of me, from The Right Words stamp set, was stamped with Poppy Parade ink and then die-cut with the (2⅝” x ⅝”) Stitched Banner die, also from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The top Pear was popped up with Dimensionals.

Keeping it simple and fresh.  Those Pears look so sweet and juicy…it was so nice of you to bring them over…
