Celebrate – Wanted To Say

Welcome back!  Friday already…

Studio time with: Atlantic Hearts (#632) for the Sketch; Tic Tac Toe (#272) for center line featuring Layers, Floral, and No Stamping as my FREE Space; Just Us Girls (#778) featuring Dies and Layers.

Additional influences: Krafty Chicks (#771) Birthdays and Heart’s Quest Celebration of Love (#202506) as this card can be either Birthday, Engagement, Wedding or Anniversary.

Here is the result:

WANTED TO SAY DIES – APPLE BLOSSOMS DIES – AHSC632 – TTTC272 – JUGS778 – KCC272 – HQCOLCB202506

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
  • Support Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • Central Panel: (4” x 4”) Pool Party Floral patterned piece of paper from the now retired Sale-a-bration 2025 Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper pack.
    • First Torn Edging: (4” x 1½”) Two-Tone Pool Party cardstock (dark side) hand-torn diagonally exposing white core.
    • Second Torn Edging: (4” x 1½”) Two-Tone Pretty Peacock cardstock (dark side) hand-torn diagonally exposing white core.
    • Top Torn Panel: (4” x 3½”) Lost Lagoon Diamond patterned piece of paper from the retired Serene Love Designer Series Paper pack hand-torn diagonally exposing white core.
    • All torn layer elements were adhered to the support base and then further trimmed to (3⅞” x 5⅛”) for clean edges.
  • Sentiment: (4” x 1”) Two-Tone Pretty Peacock cardstock (dark side) die-cut with the word Celebrate die from the retired Wanted To Say Dies set.
  • Decoration: Two-Tone cardstock scraps (Pretty Peacock and Pool Party) die-cut with the Floral die from the retired Apple Blossoms Dies set in both tones.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  Pool Party retired Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels were added to the Flowers for a bit of bling.

The monotone collection of Pool Party, Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock is one of my favorite combinations and they come together nicely for this all-purpose card.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!

  1. Oh my, so much to love on this card! The color is one of my favorites, and I love monochromatic palettes, and the prints work together so nicely! The flowers are perfect with their cute little rhinestone centers too! So happy you played with us at Atlantic Hearts this week!

  3. You’ve crafted a wonderful tonal card, Jolanda! The depths and textures make it very interesting which is what tonal/monochrome cards need. Superb! Terrific organization, too, for bundling different challenge themes together! And thanks for including HQFCOLCB in the linkups! — Becca
