Floral Collage – Textured Notes

Hi again!  Back with another clean and simple CASE (Copy and Share Everything) card.

Over at Just Us Girls (#777), we are challenged to CASE a card created by the Design Team.  I selected Ina Grehan’s card.  I love everything about it.  It is clean and simple, it has a collage of images in a minimal style, it has a bit of color for interest, and it has die-cut edging.

For my color palette, I chose to go with the suggestion from Facebook’s Colour INKSpiration (#188) and I am sharing this card with Addicted To CAS (#284) and their Floral theme.

Here is the result:

TEXTURED NOTES BUNDLE – ELEMENTS OF TEXT – BEAUTIFUL MOTIFS – PAINTED LAVENDER – JUGS777 – CI188 – ATCAS284

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • Card Front: (4¼” x 5½”) Watercolor Paper.
  • Background Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) Watercolor Paper die-cut with (3⅞” x 5¼”) Rectangle die from the Textured Notes Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Focal Panel: (4¼” x 5½”) Watercolor Paper.
    • Collage Steps:
      • (1): The Leaf image from the Textured Notes stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
      • (2): The smaller Floral Stem image from the Painted Lavender stamp set, still available but on the Last Chance List, was colored with the Strawberry Slush and Timid Tiger Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped four times at varying heights.
      • (3): The larger Rectangle Text image from the Elements of Text stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Gray Granite ink in the upper left and lower right areas.
      • (4): The Circle image from the retired Swirly Frames stamp set was stamped twice with 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Coastal Cabana ink.
      • (5): The Fine Splatter image from the retired Itty Bitty Backgrounds stamp set was randomly stamped with Gray Granite ink.
    • The panel was then die-cut with the (2¾” x 4¼”) Rectangle die, also from the Textured Notes Dies set.
  • Sentiment Block: Watercolor Paper scrap.
    • The greeting, HELLO, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then die cut with the Slim Rectangle die, again from the Textured Notes Dies set, but shortened to (1⅜”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble Ina’s card layout.  The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

I love the softness of this greeting card.

  1. Wow! I am blown away at how beautifully you case-d my card Jolanda. Every little detail mirrors mine – the script, circles, pretty coloured stamping, popped sentiment and of course ‘splatters’. I also love your amazing dies. Thank you so much for choosing my card and a big thanks for joining in with us this week at JUGS.

  2. Jolanda, your overstamping is beautiful and I love it paired with the frame dies you chose. So glad you shared this with us at Addicted to CAS this week
