Gallery Blooms – On My Mind

Got together with a new friend and we did a shoebox swap.  This is where we each create a card, add the supplies, swap boxes and create.

I designed my card for Stampin’ Up!’s Creativity Challenge for May: Recreate a Suite card in a different color.  I created a hybrid A2 card from two Slimline cards featured with the Beautiful Gallery Suite Collection on page 53 of the Annual Catalog.

Here is the result:

GALLERY BLOOMS BUNDLE – BEAUTIFUL MOTIFS – CREATIVE CALLENGE SU – KCC770

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Cloud Cover cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Cloud Cover Splatter patterned piece of paper from the 2025/2027 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
    • The Botanical Queen’s Anne Lace image was randomly stamped with Cloud Cover ink.
  • Frame: (4¼” x 5½”) Misty Moonlight cardstock die-cut with the Double Frame die from the Gallery Blooms Dies set. Choosing the smaller Frame.
  • Inset: (4¼” x 5½”) Cloud Cover cardstock also die-cut with the same die and dry-embossed with the Damask Designs Embossing Folder.
  • Focal Image: (2¾” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Rose/Peony image from the Gallery Blooms stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Entire image – Light Cloud Cover; and Blooms – Light Misty Moonlight blended with Dark Cloud Cover.
    • The Flowers were then die-cut with the coordinating die, also from the Gallery Blooms Dies set.
  • Sentiment Circle: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, You’ve been on my mind, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped with Misty Moonlight link and die-cut with the (1¼”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to reflect the combination of the two cards selected.  A length (6”) of retired Misty Moonlight Ribbon (still in my stash) was added under the Sentiment which was popped up along with the Flowers with Dimensionals.

Looks pretty in blue…
