Shades of Blue – Best Wishes

Design Team Time: This round at Cardz 4 Guyz (#373), we have a color suggestion and at Hand Stamped Sentiments (#464), we have a sketch.

I selected Cupcake Inspiration (#618) Trees for my theme.

Here is the result:

SUNRISE SAILING – HILLS OF TUSCANY – C4G373 – HSSSC464 – CIC618

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Secret Sea cardstock.
  • Strip (1): (5” x 1¼”) Secret Sea Striped patterned piece of paper from the 2025/2025 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Strip (2): (4½” x 1”) Cloud Cover Splattered patterned piece of paper, also from the 2025/2027 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Accent Circle Mat: (3” x 3”) Misty Moonlight cardstock die-cut with the (2⅝”) Circle die from the retired Layering Circles Framelits Dies set.
  • Circle: (3” x 3”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Shades of Blue Tree scene was created with stamps from the retired Hills of Tuscany stamp set.
    • Water Triangle – Cloud Cover ink; Land Strip – 2nd Generation Misty Moonlight ink (stamped off once) twice in two directions and once with 2nd Generation Secret Sea ink in between; Trees – 2nd Generation Secret Sea ink; and Tree Reflection – 3rd Generation Secret Sea ink (stamped off twice).
    • The scene was die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • Sentiment Banner: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, best wishes, from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink and then trimmed on the diagonal.  Finished size: (2⅞” x ½”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Scene and the Sentiment Banner were popped up with Dimensionals.

A clean and simple masculine birthday card.
