Gallery Blooms – Celebrate

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday.  Finding a little time on this holiday weekend to create.  Let’s play.

AAA Cards (#291) has a Follow the Leader challenge to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) a card created by Sue Symens.  My takeaways: CAS Style, Four Die Cuts and small Sentiment.

Over at Inspired By (#337), I liked the pretty pastels colors in the Drinks photograph and the suggested sketch has four blocks.

I selected the Make My Monday (#252) Garden theme and the Inkspirational (#291) Word: Celebrate to round out my design.

Here is the result:

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic Black cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The sentiment, Celebrate, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
  • Blocks: Pool Party, Bubble Bath, Balmy Blue and Lemon Lolly cardstock scraps die-cut with the (¾” x 2¼”) Stitched Rectangle die from the Textured Notes Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.
  • Garden Silhouettes: Basic Black cardstock scraps die-cut with the four small Floral dies from the Gallery Blooms Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble Sue’s card flipped to the Vertical and the Inspired By sketch.  Three light green Hexagons from the Shades of Green Hexagons Gems pack were added for a wee bit of bling.

A lovely all occasion card to celebrate almost anything.
