Welcome back! Already the middle of the week. Hope you have a great day!
Wedding & Engagement season is upon us…and I created a pretty monochromatic floral card.
The challenges: TGIF (#525) Paper Flowers; Double Trouble (#191) Wedding / Anniversary; Color Dare (#651) Jade (Lost Lagoon) plus one (Pretty Peacock); and sharing with Ellibelle’s Crafty Wednesday (May) Anything Goes.

Bringing it all together, I selected the Sketch Saturday (#776) Layout.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Lost Lagoon cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Lost Lagoon Mottled patterned piece of paper from the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper pack.
- Diagonal Strip: (¾” x 5¼”) Lost Lagoon / Pretty Peacock Leafy patterned piece of paper from the retired Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper pack.
- Banner: (2¼” x 3¾”) Lost Lagoon Watercolor Ombre patterned pieces of paper from the Everyday Happiness Designer Series Paper pack, an On-Line Exclusive product, cut twice with the (1⅞” x 3⅝”) Banner die from the retired Banner Framelits Dies set.
- The Oval Shape was die-cut with the (1½” x 2¼”) Oval die from the Framed Scenes Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product, from the darker Banner.
- The sentiment, Wishing you love & happiness that lasts a lifetime, from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink onto the lighter Banner in the Oval opening.
- Flowers: (4” x 2¾”) Lost Lagoon colored piece of paper from the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper pack, available as an On-Line Exclusive product, die-cut using the two Flower dies from the retired Apple Blossoms Dies set.
- The Flower Petals were edged with Lost Lagoon ink using a Sponge Dauber.
- Floral Centers & Leaves: Basic White and Pretty Peacock cardstock scraps die-cut with dies from the same Dies set.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Flowers were assembled and popped up with Dimensionals, the Leaves were tucked in and a few Balmy Blue colored embellishments from the retired Glossy Dots Assortment pack were added for a little bling.
A very nice card for a Shower, Engagement or Wedding.
