Have The Best Day – Gallery Blooms

Welcome back!  A busy day ahead, so getting this card done first thing.  Happy Wednesday.

Those April Showers sure begat those May Flowers and that is the order of the day.  The challenges:

Inspired by (#335) Pretty Florals and Wood Elements along with the suggested Sketch; Seize The Birthday (#305) to add Flowers; Four Seasons (May) Spring Floral Inspiration Board; Can You Handle The Pressure (#25MAY10) with a Floral Twist; and choosing the Cupcake Inspirations (#617) suggested Colors.

Here is the result:

GALLERY BLOOMS BUNDLE – COMFORT & HOPE – HANDMADE DESIGNS – IB335 – STB305 – TFSC May 2025 – CYHTP 25MAY10 – CIC617

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Highland Heather cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
    • The Wooden Parquet image from the retired Comfort & Hope stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink and colored with the Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers.
    • The Panel was then dry-embossed with the retired Elegant Lines Embossing Folder.
  • Focal Image – Flower: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Lavender Plant image from the Gallery Blooms stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Blooms – Light and Dark Highland Heather and Leaves – Light and Dark retired Soft Succulent.
    • The Flowers were die-cut with the coordinating die from the Gallery Blooms Dies set and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips for a closer edge.
  • Sentiment Label: Basic White cardstock scrap colored with the Light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends Marker.
    • The sentiment, Have the Best Day, from the 2025 Sale-a-bration Handmade Designs stamp set was stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink and then die-cut with one of the Stitched Rectangle dies from the Wild Ferns Dies set, still available but on the Last Chance List.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Flowers and the Sentiment Label were popped up with Dimensionals.
