Design Team Time: Combining the Hand Stamped Sentiments (#463) Colors with the Facebook Case-ing Tuesday (#512) Sketch. Today? The card can be found on page 58 of the May 2025 – Apr 2026 Annual Catalog.

I am also sharing this card with Heart’s Quest Celebration of Love (#2025-05) Sympathy theme.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (5½” x 4¼”) Soft Sea Foam Splattered patterned piece of paper from the retired Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper pack.
- Diagonal Split Panel: (4¾” x 3½”) Fresh Freesia Floral and Summer Splash Floral patterned pieces of paper from the 2025 Sale-a-bration Blooms Impressions Designer Series Paper pack cut on the diagonal and fitted together.
- Shape – Flowers: (2¾” x 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Rose / Peony image from the Gallery Blooms stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and lightly colored with the Light Fresh Freesia and Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends Markers to suggest White Blooms and then die-cut with the coordinating die from the Gallery Blooms Dies set.
- Sentiment Banner: (3¼” x ⅝”) Soft Sea Foam Splattered patterned piece of paper, as above.
- The sentiment, Comfort and Strength, from the retired Happy Little Things stamp set was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and trimmed on the diagonal.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch. The Flowers and the Sentiment Label were popped up with Dimensionals and a few retired Petunia Pop and Summer Splash 2024/2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems were added for a bit of bling.
Never fun to make Sympathy cards, but this one is so soft and delicate…

What a great layout design for a sympathy card! I like using a split print background! Repeating the paper colors into the flower side focal along with the little glittery gems unifies your pretty card! Offers such visual cheer for grieving hearts! Thanks for creating and sharing with HQCOLCB’s main theme(s)/sympathy! Appreciatively, Becca
