A Fun Day – Fiesta

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday…and a fun bright party card for you this morning.

Having a play with the Addicted to CAS (#282) Word: Fiesta with the Just Add Ink (#750) Colors and the Atlantic Hearts (#628) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Summer Splash cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3⅝” x 4⅞”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3½” x 4¾”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Background texture was added with the Cross Hatch Swatch image from the retired Of Art & Texture stamp set in Peach Pie, Summer Splash and Pretty in Pink inks and the sentiment, It’s sure to be a fun day, from the retired Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
• Decoration – Balloons: Basic White cardstock scraps.
  • The Balloon image from the Spring Corners stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Both Light and Dark Peach Pie, Pretty in Pink and Summer Splash.
  • The Balloons were then die-cut with the coordinating Balloon die from the Spring Corners Dies set.
• Sentiment Block: (2½” x ¾”) Basic Black cardstock scrap.
  • Sentiment Letters – Fiesta: Summer Splash, Pretty in Pink and Peach Pie cardstock scraps.
  • The Letters were die-cut from the Mini Alphabet Die and adhered in place.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Balloons and the Sentiment Block were popped up with Dimensionals.
