Gallery Blooms – Celebrate

Happy Monday!  The new Catalog debuts tomorrow and I have a sneak peek for you…

Just as new comes in the door…the old favorites are still here.  To that end, I am embracing Joanne’s Paper Players (#776) Challenge to use Something Old and Something New for the Time Out (#287) Inspiration Photo Elements: Jade Color; Gold Embellishments; Lace; and Pink Flowers.

For Old: Hello, Doily Background stamp; Happy Little Things Dies; Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper; and the Just Jade Stampin’ Blends Markers. For New: Gallery Blooms Bundle and Beautiful Motifs stamp set.

I selected the Sunday Stamps (#359) Sketch and the Krafty Chicks (#766) Birthday Theme to complete my design.

Here is the result:

GALLERY BLOOMS BUNDLE – BEATIFUL MOTIFS – HELLO, DOILY – PP776 – TOC287 – SSC359 – KCC766

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty Peacock cardstock.
  • Background Underlay: (4¼” x 5½”) Basic White cardstock.
    • To create the Lace, I used the retired Hello, Doily Background stamp with Pretty in Pink ink.
  • Frame: (4” x 5½”) Pretty Peacock Ombre patterned piece of paper from the retired Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper pack die-cut with the (3⅝” x 5¼”) Double Frame die from the Gallery Blooms Dies set.
    • The bottom left and top right edges of the Frame were stamped with the Floral Damask image from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
    • The Frame was adhered over the Lace and the excess edges were trimmed away.
  • Shapes – Floral Spray: Basic White cardstock scraps.
    • The Floral Spray image from the Gallery Blooms stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Blooms – Light Pretty in Pink and Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo; Flower Centers – Dark Daffodil Delight; and Leaves – Light and Dark retired Just Jade.
    • The Flowers were die-cut with the coordinating die, also from the Gallery Blooms Dies set.
  • Sentiment Label: Pretty Peacock cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Celebrate, also from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with Gold Embossing Powder.
    • The sentiment was then die-cut with the (2⅜” x ⅜”) Label die from the retired Happy Little Things Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with the Flowers and Sentiment Label popped up with Dimensionals.

Such a lovely color combination and perfect for any celebration but truly lovely for a feminine birthday.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
