Mixed Florals – You Make Me Smile

Welcome back!  A lovely Spring Floral card for you today.

Let’s Play:  TGIF (#521) is looking for Pastel Polka Dots and I chose the lovely Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper for my dots; Four Seasons (April) has a Spring Floral Mood Board that included Ladybugs; and bringing it all together the new Just Add Ink (#748) Sketch.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pool Party cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Multi-color Pastel Bokeh Dots patterned piece of paper from the Beautiful Bokeh Designer Series Paper pack.
• Cross Strip: (⅝” x 7”) retired White Flax Ribbon.
• Accent Mat: (2½” x 4”) Peach Pie cardstock.
• Focal Panel: (2⅜” x 3⅞”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Tulip Floral image and the two Ladybug images from the Mixed Florals stamp set, and On-Line Exclusive product, were stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Tulips – Light and Dark Lemon Lolly with a bit of Light Calypso Coral; Forget-Me-Nots – Light and Dark Pool Party; Greenery – Light Soft Sea Foam; and Ladybug Wings – Light Calypso Coral.
• Sentiment Label: (2½” x ¾”) Pool Party cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, You make me smile, from the Happy Hibiscus stamp set, also an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The Label was then trimmed on the diagonal with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base and the Matted Focal Panel and Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals. 

A lovely soft and pretty friendship card.
