Tiled Techniques – Celebrate

Welcome back!  A little creative expression today.

The other day as an April Fool’s joke, Facebook’s SU! Colour Challenge posted a photo of Neutral Colors that I thought was pretty cool.  I wanted to play…

Today, Facebook’s Stampin’ Through The Catalog is featuring the Tiled Techniques stamp set and this is the first time I had the opportunity to use it.

I selected Facebook’s Global Design (#490) Sketch to bring my ideas together.

Here is the result:

TILED TECHNIQUES – UNBOUNDED LOVE – DETAILED DOGWOOD – SUCC April 2025 – STTC – GDP490

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Sahara Sand retired cardstock, still in my stash.
  • Accent Panel: (3” x 5½”) Sahara Sand Dotted patterned piece of paper from the retired 2018/2019 Neutral Collection Designer Series Paper pack, still in my stash.
  • Background Panel: (3” x 4½”) Basic White cardstock dry-embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Shape – Circle: (3½” x 3½”) Basic Beige cardstock.
    • Using my retired Stamparatus Positioning Tool, the Corner Tile image from the Tiled Techniques stamp set, was stamped in the circular pattern with Gray Granite ink.
    • The Circular Tile was die-cut with the (3¼”) Circle Slotted die from the Spotlight on Nature Dies set.
  • Circle Center Decoration: Gray Granite cardstock scrap.
    • The small Tile image from the retired Detailed Dogwood stamp set was stamped with Versamark and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and the die-cut with the matching (1⅛”) Circle Slotted die from the same Die set.
  • Sentiment Label Accent Mat: Gray Granite cardstock scrap.
  • Sentiment Label: Sahara Sand cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, celebrate, from the Unbounded Love stamp set, was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • For interest, I nipped the bottom right corners with Paper Snips.  Finished Size: (1⅝” x ⅝”).

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch.  The Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

  1. The combination of textures and neutral tones in this card is truly captivating. The circular tile pattern is a standout feature, beautifully balanced by the embossed background and layered elements. A sophisticated and elegant design that impresses!
