Happy Easter

Welcome back! There are a few deadlines today…so let’s get cracking.

Inspiration Station (#71) with a cute Bunny photo to get us started and Inspire Create (#189) with an Easter theme.

Along with Heart’s Quest (#71) to add pink or red hearts; and bringing it all together, the Sunday Stamps (#356) sketch.

Here is the result:

FABLE FRIENDS – A GOOD EGG – ISC71 – ICC189 – HQCB71 – SSC356

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
    • The Flowers & Spots image from the retired A Good Egg stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink along the top edge and then colored with the Light and Dark Pretty in Pink and Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers.
  • Strips: (5½” x 2”) Pretty in Pink Spotted and (5½” x ⅞”) Gingham patterned pieces of paper from the Lily Pond Lane Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Shapes: Pretty in Pink and Basic white cardstock scraps.
    • Heart: Two Hearts were die-cut using the Heart die from the retired Sunshine Wishes Dies set and the Basic White heart shape was set in the Pretty in Pink heart.
    • Rabbit: The Rabbit image from the retired Fable Friends stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with the same Stampin’ Blends Markers and then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment Tag: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, happy easter, also from the retired A Good Egg stamp set, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then over-colored with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker.
    • The sentiment was then die-cut with the Small Tag die from the retired Tailor Made Tags Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Rabbit and Sentiment Tag were popped up with Dimensionals.  A bit of Basic White Baker’s Twine was threaded through the Tag Hole completing the card.

A very sweet Easter card.

  1. Oh! This is a pretty charming springtime Easter farm country card!!! We have lots of wild rabbits occupying our yard! They love seeking shelter under our 2 porches! That’s a terrific die for the hearts, too! Very contemporary artsy look however it also makes me think of grapevine branches that could be bent into a heart shape! Thanks for creating and sharing for Heart’s Quest #71!!! — Becca
