Floral Delight – Hello There

Welcome back!  Wednesday already…time for a spring fresh card today.

Over at Inspired By (#328), we are presented with a series of floral pillows with a clean and simple sketch.

Over at Beautiful Blossoms (#27), we are given a lovely floral mood board as an option from which I drew the colors.

Here is the result:

FLORAL DELIGHT DSP – HERE’S A CARD – IB328 – BBC027

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Old Olive Linen patterned piece of paper from the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Side Stack: (2¼” x 2”) Daffodil Gingham; (2¼” x 1¾”) Forsythia; and (2¼” x 1½”) Mini Floral patterned pieces of paper, also from the Floral Delight Designer Series paper pack.
  • Focal Image – Yellow Mum: Larger Floral Mums patterned piece of paper, again also from the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper pack fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment Label: Old Olive Linen, as above, paper scrap.
    • The sentiment, Hello there, from the retired Here’s a Card stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the Mini Label die from the Mixed Labels Dies set, an On-Line Exclusive product.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Mum was added to the side for interest.

A nice Spring notecard that is easy to make.  Really, just stamps, ink and paper.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
