Petal Promenade – Friends

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday.

Over at Time Out (#284), we are challenges to create inspired by Red Carpet Fashion.  I opted for a lovely floral dress worn by Zendaya at the 2023 SAG Awards.

Additional influences related to my design were: Ellibelle’s Garden Party (#1) for anything in or from the Garden; Love Those Pretty Papers (#9) to focus on lovely papers; and TGIF (#517) to use a bold background.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pretty in Pink cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Bubble Bath cardstock.
• Background Panel: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Pink Roses Floral patterned paper from the retired Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper pack.
  • The corner was die-cut with the (3”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
• Sentiment Inset: (2½” x 2½”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The sentiment, I’m so glad we’re friends, from the Mixed Labels stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Pretty in Pink ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base, showing off the striking Designer Series Paper.  Several Pretty in Pink 2024/2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems were added to the Sentiment Inset for a little dazzle.

A very lovely friendship card inspired by a beautiful woman in a beautiful dress.
