Love, Joy and Soda Pop

I have the pleasure of being a Guest Designer with Color Throwdown (#829) this round and I couldn’t be happier as the combination is one of my favorites.

Pulling out a favorite retired Close To My Heart product, Soda Pop Paper Packet & Stickers, that was available when they joined Stampin’ Up!, I selected the Sketch Saturday (#771) layout to play with it.

Here is the result:

CHRISTMAS LABELS – SODA POP PACKET – CTD828 – SS771

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Garden Green cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Blue / Lime / White Plaid patterned piece of paper.
  • Block Accent Mat: (2⅛” x 4⅛”) Garden Green cardstock.
  • Block: (2” x 4”) Lime Grid patterned piece of paper.
  • Shapes – Circle Hearts: Blue and Lime Heart Stickers with the Hearts swapped out.
  • Sentiment: Garden Green cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Love & Joy, from the Christmas Labels stamp set, a product still available on the Last Chance List, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
    • The Sentiment was then trimmed on the diagonal.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Sentiment was popped up with Dimensionals.

I like how this card turned out.  The colors are crisp, and the card would be quite suitable for a fellow as an anniversary card.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
