Along These Lines – On My Mind

I am delighted to be a Crazy Cousin Guest Designer for Double Trouble this month.

Next Up: Double Trouble (#187) 3-2-1 of something(s) from my stash.

Okay: Three stamp sets, three images, three ink colors; and three pinks; Two gems; and One sentiment.

The challenge also includes partnering with Try A Sketch on Tuesday (#666).

Here is the result:

ALONG THESE LINES – ELEMENTS OF TEXT – WILDFLOWER DESIGNS – DT187 – TSOT666

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Bubble Bath cardstock.
  • Card Front: (5¼” x 4’) Basic White cardstock.
    • Both the Text image and the Ink Spot image from the Elements of Text stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with 2nd Generation (stamped off once) Pebbled Path ink.
    • Using a Blending Brush, Bubble Bath ink was added over the Text.
    • The Line Image Rose, from the new upcoming Along These Lines stamp set, available On-Line in May, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
    • Using Stampin’ Blends Markers, the Roses were colored.  Colors chosen: Top Rose – Light Bubble Bath; Middle Rose – Light Melon Mambo; and Bottom Rose – Light Pretty in Pink.  The Leaves and Stems were colored with Light Granny Apple Green.
  • The sentiment, You’ve been on my mind, from the Wildflower Designs stamp set was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Keeping the card clean, simple and quick, the card front was adhered to the card base and two Pretty in Pink 2024/2026 In-Color Shimmer Gems were added for a little bling.

What fun to play with new stamp sets.  Along These Lines was a Stampin’ Up! Convention Prize Patrol give away that I received this past weekend.

Thanks for spending some of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!

  3. Jolanda, a wonderful interpretation of TSOT’s sketch, as well as Double Trouble’s 3-2-1 challenge elements! I love the way you used the pink blending on the background to tied the three roses together!! It really makes the whole design come together tying the elements together spatially and with color. Thank you for being our March Crazy Cousin!!! -Donna
