Abigail Rose – Blank Card

Happy Sunday!  Did you remember to change the clocks?  I cannot believe it is already “noon”.

Just Add Ink (#741) is looking for a simple elegant card and I selected the Color Throwdown (#828) palette of blues and browns for this card featuring the lovely, retired Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper.

Here is the result:

ABIGAIL ROSE DSP – JAI741 – CTD828

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Crumb Cake (light brown) cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (4” x 5¼”) Early Espresso (dark brown) cardstock.
  • Card Front: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Naturals White cardstock (retired).
    • A long time ago, I played around with the Shimmer Paints (retired).  I mixed them with Isopropyl Alcohol in a Stampin’ Spritzer and sprayed them onto different cardstocks.  This is a piece that was sprayed with Copper Shimmer Paint.
  • Focal Image: (4” x 2¼”) Crumb Cake Floral patterned piece of paper from the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper pack.
    • A corner was clipped with Paper Snips and colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Blue Flowers – Light and Dark Boho Blue blended with Light Balmy Blue and Light Brown Flowers – Light Crumb Cake.
    • A few details were added to the Blue Flowers with the retired Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker.
    • The clipped piece was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  I deliberately chose not to add a sentiment to allow the Flowers to take center stage.

A soft pretty simply elegant note card.
