Welcome back! How can it already be Wednesday? Hope your week is going well.
A few animal challenges out there…Cupcake Inspirations (#612) for the love of Pigs (a favorite and my Chinese Horoscope Animal); Addicted to CAS (#277) for Pet; and as always the monthly Critter Crazy (#96) with a focus on animals.

Bringing my idea to life, I selected the sketch over at Atlantic Hearts (#619), opting for an A2 card instead of a Slim-Line card.

Here is the result:

Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pool Party cardstock.
- Card Front: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Smiling Pig & Flower image from the retired This Little Piggy stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- To mimic the Diagonal Striped background, I added seven dry-embossed diagonal lines to the upper left and lower right corners using the retired Simply Scored Diagonal Plate that fits into the Simply Scored Scoring Tool.
- The Flower and the Ground were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers. Colors chosen: Flower Petals – Light Fresh Freesia; Flower Center – Dark Lemon Lolly; Stem – Dark Granny Apple Green; and Ground – a combination of Ivory and Bronze.
- The Pig was stamped again onto a scrap of Basic White cardstock and colored with the Light and Dark Petal Pink; Light Pretty in Pink and Bronze Stampin’ Blends Markers.
- The Pig was then fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
- Sentiment Flag: (2” x ½”) Basic White cardstock scrap.
- The sentiment, Hogs & Kisses, from the same stamp set was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The strip was colored with the Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Marker and then hand-flagged with Paper Snips.
Keeping my design clean and simple, the Sentiment Flag was adhered under the Pig that was popped up with Dimensionals.
I just love that little guy!
