Helping Me Grow – Hello

Welcome back.  Friday again…Do you have creative plans for the weekend?  Let me provide you with a little inspiration…

Over at Inkspirational (#335), we have a lovely mood board, and I was taken with the pretty flowers – Hyacinths and the Aqua tones.  I opted to add a bit more color and chose the color palette suggested by Color Throwdown (#827) Teal – Coastal Cabana; Pink – Fresh Freesia; and Lime: Granny Apple Green.

I wanted to keep the card clean and chose the CAS on Friday (#303) Sketch using some Dies that had stitched details for Make My Monday (#246).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Fresh Freesia cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Banner Flags: (4” x 1”) Coastal Cabana cardstock scrap and (3⅝” x 1”) Multi-Colored Dotted patterned piece of paper from the retired Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper pack hand-flagged with Paper Snips.
• Tag: (2” x 3⅞”) Fresh Freesia Grid patterned piece of paper, also from the retired Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper pack, die-cut with the same-sized Stitched Tag die from the retired Tailor Made Tags Dies set.
• Shape – Circle: (2¾” x 2¾”) Basic White cardstock.
  • The Hyacinths Floral image from the retired Helping Me Grow stamp set was stamped with Highland Heather ink and the selected part of the image was die-cut with the (2½”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The Flowers were then colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Blossoms – a blended mix of Light and Dark Fresh Freesia and Light Highland Heather and Stems – Light Granny Apple Green blended with retired Light Tahitian Tide.
  • The greeting, hello, from the Unbounded Love stamp set was stamped with Coastal Cabana ink.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and the Focal image was popped up with Dimensionals.

A lovely little greeting card.
