Design Team Time: This round at Cardz 4 Guyz (#366), we are given a sketch to work with.
Additional Influences: Style: Paper Players (#725) for clean and simple: Colors: Cupcake Inspirations (#611) for red, black and white; and Materials: Shopping Our Stash (#541) to use patterned papers.
Here is the result:
Steps:
- Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
- Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Black & White Cross Hatch patterned piece of paper cut from the inside of one of the Envelopes in the Calming Creek Cards & Envelopes pack.
- Top & Bottom Cross Strips: (4” x ¼”) White and Gray patterned pieces of paper, also from the Calming Creek Envelopes.
- Center Panel: (4” x 3”) Basic White cardstock.
- Shape – Car: (3½” x 3”) Basic White cardstock.
- The Car Outline image from the Classic Wedding stamp set, an On-Line Exclusive product, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
- The Two-Step Car Body Infill image was stamped with Real Red ink and the Two-Step Tire Infill image was stamped with Basic Gray ink.
- The Car Bumper, Rear Brake Lights and Window Trim were colored with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Marker.
- The Car was then die-cut with the coordinating die from the Classic Wedding Dies set.
- Sentiment: You’re Classic from the Tune In stamp set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink directly on to the Trunk Lid.
All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch and the Car was popped up with Dimensionals.
A super card for a car loving fellow.
