Happy Birthday – Celebration

Time again for Facebook Case-ing Tuesday, where we CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) cards found within Stampin’ Up!’s current catalogs.  Today?  The card can be found on the front cover of the Jan – Apr Mini Catalog.  But guess what!  This is the 500th CASE CARD Design that we have created.  What fun!!

So, let’s celebrate!  Designing also for the Hand Stamped Sentiments (#457) Color Selection.

Additionally, I incorporated Tic Tac Toe (#264) Elements and chose Birthday for Heart’s Quest Celebration Of Love (#202502) theme options.

Here is the result:

UNBOUNDED LOVE – WILDFLOWER DESIGNS BUNDLE – CHEERFUL DAISIES DIES – CT500 – HSSCC457 – TTTC264 – HQCOLCB202502

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Summer Splash cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (4¼” x 4¾”) Limeade Grid patterned piece of paper from the retired Close To My Heart Soda Pop Paper Packet.
  • Accent Panel: (3¼” x 4¼”) Calypso Coral Floral patterned piece of paper from the Frames & Flowers Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.
  • Shape – Scalloped Hexagon: (3” x 4¼”) Summer Splash cardstock die-cut with the Scalloped Frame die from the Wildflower Designs Dies set.
    • The sentiment, Happy Birthday, from the Unbounded Love stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder onto the Inset piece.
    • For a little texture, the Small Grid image, from the Wildflower Designs stamp set was stamped randomly with Versamark ink.
  • Decoration – Flowers: Calypso Coral and Basic White cardstock scraps.
    • The Triple Daisy die and the Daisy Accent dies, from the Cheerful Daisies Dies set were used to create the Floral Spray.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch, and a few White retired Classic Matte Dots were added for a little interest.

A fun bright birthday card!

I am looking forward to seeing how you choose to use the sketch as well as how you may use the color palette.
