Friendly Seagulls – Hey

Hi again.  I have a quick clean and simple card for you this afternoon…

Inspired By (#323) features a Spiral with the colors Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, Bubble Bath and Smoky Slate and my Spiral is created with Seashells.

I chose the CAS Colours & Sketches (#554) Layout, so I could include the Seagull on my card.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3⅝” x 4⅞”) Smoky Slate cardstock.
• Card Front: (3½” x 4¾”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Upper Shape – Seashell Spiral
    • The Seashell image from the Friendly Seagulls stamp set, a Free Sale-a-bration option choice with a qualifying order, was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink starting in the center and swirling outwards. 
    • The Sand image was also stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink to fill-in a few of the spaces.
    • The Seashells and Sand were colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Colors chosen: Seashells – Light Melon Mambo, Light Bubble Bath and Light Smoky Slate; and the Sand – retired Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blendabilities Marker which is very much a Crushed Curry color.
  • Lower Shape – Circle: Basic White cardstock scrap.
    • The Seagull image, the Sand image, and the Seashell image were stamped with the Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then also colored.  Seagull – Light and Dark Smoky Slate; Beak, Feet and Sand – Dark Daffodil Delight; and the Seashells – Light Melon Mambo and Light Smoky Slate.
    • The Seagull was then die-cut with the (1⅝”) Stitched Circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set.
  • The sentiment, Hey, was then stamped.

All elements were adhered to the card base and the Seagull was popped up with Dimensionals.

I really like these Seagulls.  A fun little Hello card!
