Happiest Day – So Excited For You

Welcome back!  Happy Sunday to you.

A quick little card for you today.  A clean and simple, simple stamping card.  Just Stamps, Ink and Paper.

The Challenge: CAS Colours & Sketches (#553) with a layout sketch found on Paper Craft Crew.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Summer Splash cardstock.
• Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Basic Black cardstock.
• Card Front: (3¾” x 5”) Basic White cardstock.
  • To create the Cross Grid Patten, I used Masks and Blending Brushes.
    • A Circle was punched out of a Post-It-Note with the retired (1½”) Circle Punch.
    • With the Post-It-Note in place, Summer Slash ink was added to create the Circle Shape.
    • The previously Post-It-Note Punched Circle was used to Mask the Summer Splash Circle.
    • I used Tear & Tape, lightly applied as a Mask to create the Cross Strips.
    • The (2⅜” X 2⅜”) Stitched Square die from the Stylish Shapes Dies set was used to create a Square Mask from a piece of Copy Paper.
    • With the Mask in place, Melon Mambo ink was added to create the Square Shape.
    • All the Masks were removed.  The Tear & Tape abraded the paper just a little bit when it was removed.
    • Using a Ruler and my Fine-Tipped Black Liquid Gel Pen, I boxed in the Cross Strips.
  • Decoration and Sentiment – Happiest Day stamp set:  The Butterfly Outline image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the Two-Step Wing Infill images were stamped with Poppy Parade ink as was the “So Excited For You” greeting.

A cute little card that can be used for many occasions.
