Winter Birthday – Sentimental Park

Welcome back!  Friday again.  Where does the week go?

Back in my happy place with a clean and simple card created for my country loving friend.

The challenges: AAA Cards (#238) for the colors – Mossy Meadow, Boho Blue, Soft Sea Foam and Smoky Slate; AAA Birthday (#70) for the technique; Addicted To CAS (#276) Friend(s); Just Us Girls (#762) Friend; Farm Quest Country Christmas (#17) Winter Outdoors; and bringing it all together the Freshly Made (#673) Sketch.

Here is the result:

MOUNTAIN AIR – SENTIMENTAL PARK – AAACC238 – AAABCB70 – ATCAS276 – JUGS762 – FQCCCB17 – FMS673

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Basic White cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (5⅛” x 3⅞”) Mossy Meadow cardstock.
  • Focal Panel: (5” x 3¾”) Basic White cardstock.
    • To create the Circle Shape, I scrunched up pieces of Wax Paper and tapped them into the Ink Pads (Soft Sea Foam, Smoky Slate and Boho Blue) and dabbed them onto the Panel for the Ink Smooching technique.  This created a wintery snowy vortex.
    • The Pine Trees images from the retired Mountain Air stamp set were stamped with Mossy Meadow ink for the other element in the sketch.
    • The HAPPY BIRTHDAY and friend sentiments were selected from the Sentimental Park stamp set and stamped with Smoky Slate and Boho Blue inks, respectively.

And that is it!  Quick, simple and very easy to create.  A super Winter Birthday card for a male friend.
