Vintage Romance – Layers of Beauty

Design Time for The Card Concept (#214) and we have a very pretty inspiration photograph.

The image felt so shabby chic and vintage to me that I was inspired to create a collage style multi-layered card in the colors suggested.

I am sharing this card with the Alphabet Challenges – Letter “V” for Vintage; The Flower Challenge (#99) by featuring the color Pink; and with Ellibelle’s Crafty Wednesday February Anything Goes theme.

Here is the result:

LAYERS OF BEAUTY BUNDLE – FANCIFUL FRAGRANCE – ESTABLISHED ELEGANCE – TCC214 – ALPHABET Letter V – TFC99 – ECWC Feb 2025

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Pecan Pie cardstock.
  • Accent Mat: (3⅞” x 5⅛”) Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • Background Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Naturals Ivory cardstock (retired).
    • The Text image from the retired Fanciful Fragrance stamp set was stamped with Crumb Cake ink across the Panel.
  • Decoration (1) – Dress Form: Crumb Cake cardstock scrap.
    • The Dress Form image from the retired Established Elegance stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink and fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Decoration (2) – Flowers: (4¼” x 5½”) Naturals Ivory cardstock.
    • The Floral Spray image from the Layers of Beauty stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink.
    • Using the Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks and Blending Brushes, Pretty in Pink and Crumb Cake inks were applied to color the Floral Spray.
    • The Floral Spray was then die-cut with the coordinating die from the Layers of Beauty Dies set.
  • Decoration (3) – Perfume Bottles: Naturals Ivory cardstock scrap colored with Pretty in Pink ink applied with a Blending Brush.
    • The Perfume Bottles image from the Fanciful Fragrance stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie ink.  Small details on the Bottles were highlighted with the Dark Pretty in Pink Stampin’ Blends Marker and then the Bottles were fussy-cut with Paper Snips.
  • Sentiment Label: Pecan Pie cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, A beautiful person like you deserves a beautiful day like this, again from the Fanciful Fragrance stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base.  Dimensionals were used to achieve all the layering and both Pretty in Pink and Basic Beige Bordered Ribbons were added behind the Flowers.

Romance all round.
