Winter Magic – Tree Shaped Card / Tag

Welcome back!  A brand-new week and I am thinking Winter…

Today I am playing with the Jingle Belles (#2503) suggestion to make a “Shaped” card and sharing it with the Four Seasons (February) Anything Goes Winter.

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (7” x 2¾” scored at 3½”) Garden Green cardstock die-cut with the Solid Tree die from the Decorative Trees Dies set, currently available on the Last Chance List.  The die was set slightly above the Tree Point, so that the Tree would still open as a card. Finished card size is (2¼” x 3”).
• Top Tree Layer: (2½” x 3½”) Garden Green cardstock die/embossed with the Dotted Tree die.
• Insert and Snow Overlay: (2½” x 3½”) Basic White cardstock die-cut with both the Solid Tree die and the Snowflake Tree die.  The Solid White Tree was trimmed at the point and added inside the card and the Snowflake Tree was added to the Dotted Tree.
• Decoration – Star and Bows: Gold Foil and Poppy Parade cardstock scraps die-cut with the Decoration dies included with the Die set.
• Sentiment Oval: Poppy Parade cardstock scrap.
  • The word, Joy, from the retired Endless Wishes stamp set, was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then punched out with the retired (¾” x 1”) Small Oval Punch.

All elements were adhered to the card base creating a nice little Shaped Card/Tag.
