Floral Heart – Happy Thoughts

One more card for you today…

Playing with the Inspired By (#322) Puffy Hearts theme: Creating Puff using a Floral Fabric and the Heart Design.

I am also sharing with Park Hopping (February) for their Heart Valentine theme and Can You Handle The Pressure (#73) with the Optional Letter “F” Twist for Fabric.

Here is the result:

WILDFLOWER DESIGNS – SPRINGTIME VINTAGE FABRIC – IB322 – PH Feb 2025 – CYHTP73

Steps:

  • Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Very Vanilla Thick cardstock retired but still in my stash.
  • Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Melon Mambo cardstock die-cut with the Heart die from the Paper Pumpkin Add-on Spring is in the Air Dies set and then dry-embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Behind the Scene elements.
    • Heart Support and Scalloped Trim: (3¼” x 3¼”) Kraft colored Thin Cardboard from my stash of saved materials was die-cut with the Heart die.
    • The Scallop Heart Trim was securely taped in place from the back to the Background Panel.
    • Backing Support Panel: (3¾” x 5”) Melon Mambo cardstock.
    • The Background Panel and the Backing Support Panel were aligned and the Cardboard Heart Support was adhered through the Heart Cut-Out opening.
    • Cotton Balls were adhered lightly to the Solid Cardboard Heart piece for puff and then covered with a (5” x 4”) piece of retired Floral Springtime Vintage Fabric that Stampin’ Up! sold at one time and still in my stash.  The Fabric was well secured with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive.
    • The Background Panel was adhered over the Backing Support Panel so that the Fabric Heart puffed out.
  • Sentiment Label Mat: (3⅜” x ¾”) Very Vanilla cardstock scrap.
  • Sentiment Label: (3¼” x ⅝”) Melon Mambo cardstock scrap.
    • The sentiment, Sending happy thoughts, from the Wildflower Designs stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.

All elements were adhered to the card base and a small Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon Bow was added to complete the card.

One pretty Puffed Heart.  A few drops of essential oil and you have a lovely scented Sachet for a drawer.

Thanks for spending some more of your time with me today.  Cheers,  Jolanda!
