Sending Love – Hooray For Surprises

The Valentines just keep coming…

I am creating with Ann’s theme at Paper Players (#723) Love is in the Air in mind and selected the current sketch from the Facebook Global Design Project (#482) for my general layout and choosing the colors pink and red as suggested by the collaboration between Color Hues (#103) and Inkspirational (#334).

Here is the result:

Steps:

• Card Base: (8½” x 5½” scored at 4¼”) Real Red cardstock.
• Background Panel: (4” x 5¼”) Pretty in Pink Dotted patterned piece of paper from the 2024/2026 In-Color Collection Designer Series Paper pack.
• Vertical Cross Panel Accent Mat: (1¾” x 5½”) Real Red cardstock.
• Vertical Cross Panel: (1½” x 5½”) Pretty in Pink cardstock dry-embossed with the Eyelet 3D Embossing Folder.
• Shapes – Hearts: (2½” x 2½”) Real Red cardstock squares.
  • The Floral Heart image from the Hooray For Surprises stamp set was stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder.
  • The Hearts were then die-cut with the coordinating Heart die from the Hooray For Surprises Dies set.
• Sentiment Block: Real Red cardstock scrap.
  • The sentiment, Sending you lots of love, from the same stamp set, was also stamped with Versamark ink and heat-set with White Embossing Powder and then die-cut with the (1⅝” x 1¼”) Stitched Rectangle die from the retired Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies set.

All elements were adhered to the card base to resemble the sketch with both the central Heart and the Sentiment were popped up with Dimensionals.

Love is certainly in the air…and I like how this card can be used for any occasion.
